The last one is for three-year-old Pacing Colts with preliminary legs on October 6,13, and 20, final is again on October 27.
In the meantime, the track is preparing for the highly anticipated CA$1 million Mohawk Million on Saturday, September 23, 2023. It will feature a field of 10 two-year-old trotters, with four fillies, as part of a CA$3.5 million-plus card. The program also includes the prestigious CA$970,000 Metro Pace for two-year-old pacers.
But that is not all, as Saturday’s card will also contain the CA$660,000 Canadian Trotting Classic, CA$540,000 Shes A Great Lady and CA$381,000 Elegantimage. The track reminds that post time for the lucrative card is set at 7:10 p.m. It also reminds visitors that admissions and parking will be free for the events.
Adding Greater Betting Options
This year’s edition of the Mohawk Million will be the first one of private sportsbooks in Ontario to offer legal wagering on it. It became a reality a couple of weeks ago when bet365 launched the track’s pari-mutuel betting on horse races. CEO of Woodbine Entertainment promised that even more sports wagering operators in the province will adopt it in the near future.
However, that is not all new betting options introduced this year by the horse racing group. Earlier this year, the operator debuted Swinger, also known as Omni wager at its tracks. This product is a leading international wager which requires horseplayers to select two of the top three finishers in a selected race.
