New York State’s gambling field strives to remain as flexible as possible during this dynamically changing situation, as this is the only way for its commercial gambling locations to stay afloat. It was recently announced that in-person casino gaming will now have to come to an end at 10 p.m., as the government has established.
Protecting both casino workers and casino patrons is of utmost importance for the gambling field of New York State, as individuals are still interested in exploring everything commercial venues have in store. November 13 witnessed the most recent changes coming their way and affecting a wide range of properties making it possible for individuals to spend entertaining hours. They will have to see a change of their working hours.

As it was recently confirmed all establishments with a liquor license across the state will have to suspend their operation at 10 p.m. going forward. This will reduce the time individuals spend on their premises and protect them better in the dynamically changing situation. This new announcement directly affects casino complexes and gaming locations adjacent to racetracks.
The reduction of working hours has been one of the globally introduced measures affecting many businesses around the globe. They are now obliged to close earlier as a way for them to reduce the potential revenue loss they could generate otherwise. This results in reduced labor costs and the eventual successful avoidance of layoffs. New York State bars, restaurants, casinos, gambling halls, and other establishments serving alcohol will now have to close early.
The state had its brick-and-mortar casino locations closed in mid-March and for months, the people working there day in, day out remained home anticipating their official return. More than five months passed before a green light for their operation was given at the beginning of September. Commercial casinos spend the weeks working on their comprehensive relaunch floor plans, implementing all safety protocols ahead of the reopening announcement.
10 p.m. Closing Time
Batavia Downs President and Chief Executive Officer Henry Wojtaszek said that individuals making their way there usually make their way back and seek the positive experience over and over again. This has been the case over the weeks following the gaming location’s reopening on September 9.
In November, this popular destination manages to bring about 85 percent of its usual revenue around this time of the year. All gaming activities happen with the mandatory face masks at all times and individuals are encouraged to use the sanitation stations sprinkled across the gaming floor frequently. All gaming devices are regularly sanitized as well. The usual operation at the gaming venue goes all the way to 1 a.m., meaning that it will now lose three hours of gaming revenue.
Projections are that this will result in the loss of some 20 percent of the gaming revenue, as these three hours are the busiest there. In order to compensate for this loss, Batavia Downs will welcome gambling enthusiasts as early as 7 a.m., one hour earlier than its usual opening time. Upcoming weeks might bring more changes to the local gambling field.
