NYRA Subsidiary Inks Lucrative 1/ST Content Agreement

This week, the New York Racing Association expanded its list of partners as the organization inked a 10-year agreement with a leading provider of horse racing content – 1/ST Content. The arrangement is via its NYRA Content Management Solution, and it will aim to substantially increase the association’s access to North American horse racing content across new US markets.

NYRA is the not-for-profit organization that conducts and oversees the three largest Thoroughbred horse racing tracks in the state of New York – the Aqueduct Racetrack, Belmont Park and Saratoga Race Course. Its world-class racing activities bring tons of benefits to the Empire State, as the industry is considered of great value to the local economy.

Extending Already Fruitful Partnership

Now via the latest agreement, NYRA Content Management Solutions will gain a major equity position in TSG Global Wagering Solutions LLC, a subsidiary of 1/ST Content, responsible for delivering horse racing content to international markets. Therefore, allowing NCMS to launch NYRA its premium Thoroughbred content across new and regulated markets across the globe.

The collaboration is founded on the basis of broadcast and video streaming, which will further cement the partnership between the two parties who already partner on content rights, data, odds, and signals from a host of first-at-class horse racing establishments. 1/ST Racing will now be able to deliver more than 3,000 days of racing from the top of the North American tracks including NYRA’s three venues in NYS.

Gregg Colvin, Chief Executive Officer, 1/ST CONTENT, commented that combining the brand’s content with NCMS will advance offerings for international operators for North American racing. He added that the collaboration would allow North American horse race stakeholders to be the main beneficiaries of the proceeds generated through international wagering thus bolstering the domestic industry for the next generations of fans and bettors.

Tony Allevato, Chief Revenue Officer, NYRA shared that NCMS is proud to continue its partnership with the content provider, which will further expand the international audience of North American Thoroughbred racing. He said that sports fans and bettors from all around can now look forward to receiving more coverage of world-class racing events.

Concluding Yet Another Successful Meet

The summer season has been quite eventful for the New York Racing Association since it hosted its annual summer meet at Saratoga Race Course. The meet concluded at the start of September and the organization reported a record-breaking all-sources wagering handle, as well as that paid attendance, which has surpassed 1 million visitors for the 7th consecutive year, with the exception of 2020.

And in order to celebrate the record-breaking season at its Saratoga Spring track, the organization hosted a special end-of-meet giveaway on its final weekend of racing. Guests had the opportunity to claim a mini umbrella by NYRA Bets, which is red and white and comes with the iconic red logo of the track. They were also able to enjoy free ice cream from Stewart’s Shops.
