Gateway Casinos Listens to Its Casino Patrons across 2019

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment is known for being among the most proactive casino operators developing across the Canadian provinces. Over the past several years, its modernization efforts across Ontario, British Columbia, and Alberta have not gone unnoticed by the public already enjoying its new offerings. This year has also been a busy one with multiple acquisitions and official casino launches making it a milestone one.

The first step at the very beginning of this year was the official acquisition of Chances Casino Kamloops, which was enough for the casino operator to become the sole casino force in the area. Ahead of that move, Gateway Casinos was responsible for the day-to-day operation of Cascades Casino Kamloops, a gaming location, which welcomed its leading management influence in August 2015.

Gateway Casinos Expansion

Chances Casino Kamloops used to be overseen by the Hart Family and British Columbia Lottery Corporation, solidifying the healthy competition for casino patrons across Kamloops and neighboring communities. Operation at the recently acquired casino location continued without any hiccups, as the casino operator guaranteed a smooth transition for the staff. Introducing improvements down the road would make the location even more popular in a true Gateway Casinos spirit.

This year also saw gaming expansion of existing casino locations, making them well-rounded gaming hotspots for both locals and people hailing from neighboring communities. Gateway Casinos Innisfil was the venue welcoming 26 new table games following four months of renovation work on its premises. The investment amounts to some CA$5 million and it aimed to meet player’s expectations demanding more diversity.

As a result of the new gaming area, more individuals were needed at the casino venue, which resulted in the hiring of some 110 locals and people living in the Innisfil area. They oversee gaming to the likes of baccarat, blackjack, poker, and roulette, among other games. Gateway Casinos also made a milestone move with the purchase of Chances Signal Point in March.

New Casinos Launching

This meant that the casino operator is making its first steps in the local gaming field, exploring the opportunities Williams Lake has on offer. Just like with the January acquisition, the casino staff remained unchanged, as a result of a smooth transition. Soon after that, the casino operator announced the fresh new face of Playtime Casino Hanover, a project that had been in the works for several months.

Some CA$18 million was invested in the renovation and expansion of the existing gaming facility, eventually resulting in the creating of as many as 100 new job positions. Following the expansion, the facility has as many as 300 slot machines and eight live table games diversifying its offerings. Family-friendly offerings were also introduced, to the likes of the premium MATCH Eatery and Public House, as well as The Buffet. Playtime Casino Hanover also features an Arcade Bar.

The summer months were special for Chatham-Kent, as the area saw the official opening of the entirely new Cascades Casino Chatham. This was the sole casino build by the casino operator launching this year. The project that came to life from scratch amounts to some CA$36 million, bringing some 200 new jobs to the community. It comes with 200 slot machines and 10 table games, as well as premium dining for an added family-friendly factor.
