Del Lago Casino Resort Becomes Fifth NY Casino Greenlighting Sportsbook

Del Lago Resort Casino announced it is ready for the official launch of sports wagering and the ribbon-cutting ceremony of its sportsbook is about to take place this Friday. After months of preparation, the commercial casino venue in Upstate New York is about to greenlight its very own sportsbook powered by DraftKings making the location more appealing to casino patrons from across New York State.

This Friday is about to see the official launch of sports betting operation on site of the casino venue located in Tyre. Sports betting is projected to make the location a hot spot in the area, as players are eager to place their bets in a legal manner at last. It is no secret that New York is known for its underground sports wagering operation that has been going on for years. People are generally fond of the activity, now they can support the community and the state with their passion.

DraftKings Powers Betting

This summer would forever be remembered as the time when New York State legalized wagering on sports events and the thrill coming with it. Del Lago Resort Casino is among the four commercial casino resorts that have permission to launch legal sportsbooks. Casino management announced earlier this year it has inked partnership with DraftKings for its premium sportsbook.

The new area that was under construction up until recently spans over 6,000 square feet of space and comes with as many as 23 self-service betting kiosks, as well as cashier stations that would make betting even easier. In addition to the sports betting, this area comes equipped with a bar and dining offerings that could welcome up to 200 individuals at a time.

The special zone would also treat its patrons with some 16 TV sets, in addition to 1,000 square feet of LED video screens. Players should be well-informed in real-time, in order to place their winning bets and possibly transform their lives with a grand windfall as a result.

Four Casinos Launched Sportsbooks

The odds boards and the live scores would guarantee the information flow is constant and uninterrupted at the sports betting lounge. This Friday is about to see household names present on site of del Lago Casino Resort such as the former Syracuse University and NFL football star Donovan McNabb. Local officials and DraftKings leaders would also be present on the official launch.

Sports wagering is projected to be a breath of fresh air at the commercial casino venue, which recently saw development firm Wilmorite exit del Lago Resort Casino and sell its 50-percent stake in the premium resort. The sale is about to make Peninsula Pacific LLC the sole stakeholder of the complex. The casino venue launched operation in 2017 and cost a whopping US$440 million.

The casino venue joins other sportsbooks across New York State that have already welcomed their first betting enthusiasts. Those are the commercial Rivers Casino Resort in Schenectady, Tioga Downs west of Binghamton. In addition to that, there are two tribal casinos overseen by the Oneida Indian Nation: Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona and Point Place Casino in Bridgeport, Madison County.
