Gateway Casinos and Entertainment projects a busy year with many new casino venues opening and transforming their local communities. This summer is about to see the official launch of Cascades Casino Chatham which calls for a toast and the mandatory job fairs seeking individuals willing to join the staff. As many as 200 people are going to find their new employment at the new casino venue projected to launch within the next few months.
Every casino venue comes with increasing employment demands that could change people’s lives. Gateway Casinos has thousands of casino employees across British Columbia, Ontario, and Alberta, but it is currently seeking 200 more. Cascades Casino Chatham is going to provide them with the premium conditions they have been looking for and the opportunity to work for a leading casino giant. This summer is going to see the official launch of operation meaning that the months ahead of it would be heated.
Casino Operation Starts This Summer
The first job fair is scheduled to take place on May 1 between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Everyone interested to reserve a spot at the new casino venues staff would have to make their way to the John D. Bradley Convention Centre. Right next to the building people will have the chance to see the progress of construction of the casino complex, which would soon welcome its first casino patrons.
Rob Mitchell, Gateway Casino’s Director of Communications and Public Affairs, stated that the entire day would be dedicated to job interviews and individuals should brace for the challenge. Patience is recommended on both ends, as anyone presenting their resume would be invited for a conversation. It should be taken into account that more than 1,000 individuals have already expressed interest.
They are preparing for the long-anticipated day that would see all of them enter the building full of hopes and dreams. Caesars Windsor Casino employees are among the individuals that have claimed their spot at Cascades Casino Chatham and would also make their way to the convention center. They are going to have equal chances of winning a job at the new gambling facility.
Job Fair Scheduled on May 1
People interested in joining the staff could claim spots to the likes of dealers, guest services representatives, auditors, cage and coin cashiers, and security staff. In addition to the casino location, the adjacent dining areas would also need a staff of experienced cooks. The sports bar MATCH Eatery & Public House and The Buffet would have to live up to the expectations of locals.
The casino floor would feature some 333 slot machines and 12 table games. All dealers that pass the job interviews will receive thorough and adequate training for their future career in Gateway Casinos. Table games require special skills and etiquette that should be respected by individuals working as dealers. All positions currently available are full-time ones, but there would be part-time jobs in the foreseeable future.
It could be recalled that earlier this year it became clear that the CA$36-million casino complex is two months ahead of schedule. June 2018 saw the official groundbreaking ceremony of the project that aims to launch just in time for the busy summer season. At the moment work is focused on the interior of Cascades Casino Chatham.
