Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady Closer to Regularity

As the vaccination rate in New York State is on schedule the local government has already started lifting some of the health and safety regulations. Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady has taken advantage of the laxing of rules and the gaming hotspot will be soon operating at its pre-unprecedented situation capacity.

Gov. Cuomo’s announcement on Tuesday stated that some of the unprecedented situation health and safety rules will be lifted in New York State. And following approval from the New York State Gaming Commission the gaming property will be now able to welcome guests at its full volume and almost normal conditions.

Lifting Protocols

Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady revealed that all plexiglass barriers at the property have been uninstalled from slot machines, and table games. Van Slyck’s bar will also be reopening this week for drinks only on June 18. The bar will operate only on Fridays and Saturdays from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. The casino property will still be operational every day from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.

The casino informs that mask-wearing will be optional for vaccinated patrons, and those who are not vaccinated will be required to wear a face mask. Regular sanitation of the property will also be in place in order to keep everyone safe. Management of the casino has also shared that they are already working on bringing back live entertainment.

Self-betting sports wagering kiosks at the property will be operating during the venue’s regular working hours. Manned betting windows at the sportsbook will be open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. until midnight, Friday from 10 a.m. until 1 a.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 a.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. until midnight.

At the start of April, the Schenectady gaming property announced that it will be parting ways with its General Manager Justin Moore. After a lengthy spell at the casino, Mr. Moore was transferred with immediate effect to another one of the Rush Street Gaming’s facilities in Rivers Casino Philadelphia. The now-former General Manager has been with the casino for the most part since its official reopening in 2017.

del Lago Resort & Casino

Another gaming facility in the state that has also returned to almost normal activities and full capacity is del Lago Resort & Casino. Starting from Friday, the property operational hours will be extended, as it will be open for 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays. And from Sunday to Thursday will be working until 3 a.m. Live entertainment should also return in July.

Additionally, from this Friday, the casino’s restaurants will be welcoming guests at full volume and with no restrictions. The DraftKings Sportsbook will also be relaunched on the same day. All slot machines will be at the guests’ disposal, and the plexiglass barriers have been removed. Also, patrons will not be required to maintain social distancing.

The casino which is owned by the Seneca Nation of Indians has previously amended its working conditions and hours at the start of April this year. Back then the gaming facility had a 25% limit on its visiting guests, and health and safety restrictions were rather strict. Dining venues were operating with a higher percentage limit of 75%, and with 6 feet social distances between tables.
