Lotto MAX Swells to CA$55m Without a Winner

Lotto MAX and Lotto 6/49 are among the most popular draw-based lottery products out there and many Canadians purchase tickets on a weekly basis ahead of every draw. Friday night saw yet another Lotto MAX draw coming with a Main prize of CA$50 million but not a single ticket managed to match the numbers drawn.

This is how the great prize coming with it managed to remain untouched and further motivating people to purchase a lottery ticket for the upcoming draw. This is how it works when it comes to lottery gaming, the larger the Main prize grows, the bigger the number of players willing to participate in it. This, in turn, increases the ultimate jackpot even further until someone managed to match the numbers needed.

Main Prize Grows

The number coming with the latest July 17 draw of the lottery game were 5, 11, 15, 18, 20, 24, 46, as well as the bonus one 37. One ticket managed to match six of the draw numbers along with the bonus one and this resulted in a cash payout of CA$251,562. Along with that, additional prizes were also bagged.

One ticket sold in Ontario ahead of Friday’s draw became eligible for a CA$1,000,000 part of the Maxmillions draw. Along with that, two tickets sold in the Prairies became eligible for a CA$500,000 payout each. Even though the Main prize survived, the bonus draw coming with the Lotto MAX draw was generous. July 21 is expected to see the next Lotto MAX regular draw.

Its Main prize is going to amount to some CA$55 million. Along with the jackpot, there will also be four Maxmillions prizes up for grabs. All eyes are set on the various offerings coming with the regular draw. It could be recalled that the first days of May saw a Yellowknife ticket become eligible for the Main prize of CA$55 million.

What’s Up for Grabs?

Western Canada Lottery Corporation announced that the jackpot will have to be claimed by a ticketholder located in the Yellowknife region. The runner-up prize coming with that draw was bagged by a ticket sold in British Columbia, making someone CA$1-million richer. Ever since then, the Lotto MAX jackpot has remained in its entirety and growing with every single draw. Lotto 6/49 is another popular gaming offering for Canadians.

July 22 is about to see its next draw introducing a jackpot amounting to some CA$17 million. In addition to that, players will also get the chance to bag the single CA$1-million prize coming with the draw. This amount has been generated for some weeks, as the last time, someone won the Lotto 6/49 Main prize was on July 1. Back then, the jackpot amounted to CA$6 million.

Exactly a week ahead of that, Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation made it clear that a ticket sold in Lambton County was eligible for the Main prize amounting to some CA$16,058,552.50. These regular windfalls have drawn more attention to the popular lottery offering and now all eyes are set on the upcoming draw.
