January 5 Sees 2021 First Live Race at Red Shores Racetrack

Red Shores Racetrack and Casino is ready to transform this Tuesday with a brand new live race presentation. January 5 is set to bring more excitement to the Charlottetown Driving Park and electrify the field once again. Post time for the Tuesday racing action is set to 6 p.m. AST and the racehorses participating in it are already chosen.

The past weeks have been more than exciting for the region of Charlottetown, as live harness racing witnessed its return. Individuals interested in watching live races have the chance to do so once again at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park. This happened on December 18 after the official permission coming from the Chief Public Health Office.

Prince Edward Island features live harness horse races for nearly a month now, following a hiatus that impacted the local horse people. They depend on the steady support regular races bring them and the unprecedented situation managed to take its toll on this industry among many others. Red Shores Racetrack and Casino recently announced an enhanced winter meet schedule.

January 5 is also going to bring a live race representation electrifying the local racing field. December 31 saw the draw associated with this race. Stakes should declare until 10 a.m. and they should keep in mind that equipment changes can happen up until 1 1/2 hour ahead of the post time of the live race representation. Moreover, fillies and mares are allowed to receive some 20 percent on condition money if they are racing against horses.
