Resorts World New York City is always ready to provide individuals with the opportunity to both grow and develop in the gaming world. One of its latest attempts to do so is through a special educational program aiming to introduce a breath of fresh air into the local gambling industry. The course is called “Introduction to Gaming Operations” and it launched in collaboration with York College.
The region of Queens has always benefitted from the continuous daily operation of the gaming hotspot with the Resorts World brand. People hailing from the area get to experience its operation first hand and many of them seek employment along with the rich gambling portfolio up for grabs.
Introduction to Gaming Operations
In this sense, it only makes sense for its management to begin preparing people early and train them to become the best staff members in time. This also gives them the confidence that they would also be offered a position within Resorts World Casino New York City’s structure. This new program is about to enhance your life over the course of six weeks and give you all the information needed for a casino worker.
Every person has the right to participate in it, as it is open to the public. Within it, you would get actual experience in real-life conditions and learn first-hand what the dealer’s work really is. Such experience is essential ahead of your first day at the job. By having it, there would not be culture shock when you commence working with actual casino patrons. The casino management has always striven to give back to the community.
This latest move is a step in this direction once again, as Genting Group wants to introduce more people into its workforce. The ultimate goal would be for it to increase and double in number with the help of the addition of 1,000 more union positions.
Six-Week Program
If the gaming locations end up receiving a full commercial casino licensing, such an increase would be needed. Genting America East President Robert DeSalvio made it clear that he is proud of the new partnership set to introduce a fresh workforce to the structure. Moreover, this would also give back to the community of Queens that has been home to the gaming venue for years now.
Individuals would learn more about slots and table games, marketing, cage, security, hotel operations, and information technology. Participants will also end up knowing more about the diversity of career choices up for grabs within the gaming industry. At the end of the six weeks, individuals would go around the gambling location and witness the action taking place with real people in real-life conditions.
York College President Dr. Berenecea Johnson Eanes also expressed contentment with the collaboration to come. It will commence on June 8 in person and on July 16 online, so that more people could participate in it. Resorts World Casino New York City also recently launched an online job fair. It started on April 27 and it is supposed to end on May 31.
