ALC Signs Contract Extension with IGT

Last week, the Atlantic Lottery Corporation and International Game Technology’s subsidiary IGT Canada Solutions ULC have agreed to a contract extension. With the new agreement, the two companies will continue their collaboration for one more year. Now, IGT will continue to supply the crown agency with its cutting-edge video lottery central system INTELLIGEN.

The innovative INTELLIGEN terminal is a quite popular product in the gambling industry, as it is launched across the globe with a total of 150,000 video lottery systems. Currently, the ALC oversees over 6,000 VLTs in the eastern Canadian jurisdictions and thanks to the extension the VLTs will stay connected via the IGT’s framework.

Contract Extended

The Atlantic Lottery Corporation and IGT have enjoyed a long and successful partnership as they have been partners ever since 1982. The company has started to supply the Crown agency with VLTs since 1990. Back in 2012, both companies signed a deal for the supply of 1,612 VLTs to the Crown corporation and for the replacement of the outdated ones.

Additionally, the gaming supplier also provides the lottery with VLT cabinets, video lottery content, bingo, and casino games, along with a vast portfolio of slot machines. Overall, the company supplies the agency with a complete set of services and products for the gaming industry. Now, clients of the lottery entity will be able to enjoy the company’s solutions and products for another year.

Nick Khin, who serves as COO of Gaming for International Game Technology, said that the company’s INTELLIGEN product provides the Crown with progressive tools and functionality that will secure its success in the future. Mr. Khin stated that with over 25 years of experience in gaming central system development expertise, the company will be happy to collaborate with the lottery for another year.

The news of the renewal between the two sides come out after a relatively strong financial year for International Gaming Technology. The supplier has reported an impressive rise in revenue for the month of August, with a 74% increase over last year’s same timeframe. In addition to that, the company has most recently announced its latest Digital & Betting business segment.

New Lotto Kiosks

Not long ago the Atlantic Lottery Corporation has reported another massive achievement, as the Crown will introduce the first full-service player self-service lottery kiosk in Canada. The debut of the new product will be introduced with the help of leading gaming provider Scientific Games. The innovative products will be launched across 3,000 locations in New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland and Labrador.

Adding New Online Content

The Crown corporation takes good care of its land-based and online patrons. In April, the agency announced a deal with the Australian-based slot developer Lightning Box. This way the lottery has improved its online catalog of slot titles and added the studio’s biggest hits such as Silver Lion, Lightning Horseman, Chicken Fox, Stellar Jackpots-Serengeti Lions, Stellar Jackpots-Chilli Goldx2, and many more.
