As many as seven individuals hailing from Alberta managed to bag a total of CA$3.5 million in cash prizes thanks to their winning $5 BIG SPIN and $10 BIGGER SPIN lottery tickets.
They received the right to spin the wheel of fortune in person and win some of the largest cash prizes available. The winners hail from across the province of Alberta and their combined winnings surpass the CA$3.5-million mark. There are individuals hailing from Calgary, Edmonton, and Lethbridge that had not hesitated to try their luck with the coveted tickets.
BIG SPIN
The Crown corporation recently revealed more about the highly-anticipated in-person spin of the wheel associated with the aforementioned lottery tickets. Over the course of two days, the special event welcomed patrons that have had winning tickets in their possession. Those made them eligible for participation in the special event with even bigger prizes and gave them the chance to spin an actual wheel.
The winners in question are Michael Casselman of Alberta Beach, Bernard Rosier of Calgary, Eileen Balaban of Yellowhead County, Dyllan Dokken of St. Albert, June Johnson of Calgary, Paul Kenway of Lethbridge, and Shelly Briggeman of Edmonton. All of these winners were invited to the event and they made their way to the prize office located in St. Albert. Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Vice-President Steve Lautischer expressed his thrill recently.
He pointed out that the seven individuals finally received the chance to have their turn on the spinning wheel filled with great cash prizes. It all happened following months of anticipation, as the corporation was looking for ways in which the winners could gather in the safest manner for this event. This is the reason why these winners had to hold on to their winning BIG SPIN tickets during this unprecedented situation.
Generous Grand Prizes
Now that the gaming corporation is returning to its normal pace and way of work, the players snatched a total of CA$3,525,000 in prizes. Ms. Balaban and Mr. Rosier each bagged the third-largest prize available – CA$500,000. There was one big winner among these seven and that was undoubtedly Mr. Kenway of Lethbridge. He managed to win CA$1,000,000 upon spinning the wheel.
This is the largest prize up for grabs part of this game. The second-largest was the CA$800,000 snatched by June Johnson of Calgary. In the past, the Western Canadian Lottery Corporation reported that the instant lottery offering has shown spectacular performance across Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon, the Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. The performance surpassed other CA$5 scratch lottery games by 400 percent.
Ontario residents have also bagged a lot in the past, with the help of this popular lottery game. We have previously told the story of the Windsor resident John Paul Marentette who might be 78 but is full of life and ready to travel the world on a cruise with this cash prize reaching CA$150,000.
