Sen. Addabbo Maps Out Betting Future at NYC Sports Wagering Conference

The first days of November are set to draw attention towards sports wagering’s vast opportunities thanks to events focusing on the budding US field. New York City Sports Betting Investor Summit and Sports Betting USA Conference are projected to transform The Big Apple between November 4 and November 6 bringing together some of the most renowned experts and officials in the field.

This summer was a watershed moment for New York State, as legal in-person sports wagering received greenlight by several casino resorts. As of now, New Yorkers have the opportunity to place their bets both in commercial and tribal casino locations across the state with more to come in the upcoming years. Sports betting expansion is also projected to take place, as officials come up with the most appropriate rules for mobile and online wagering down the road.

Summit and Conference Attract Big Names

With sponsors to the likes of Sportradar, IGT, Intralot, and Playtech, expectations for the two events at the beginning of November are higher than ever. Morgan Stanley, investment banking leader would power the investor summit about to welcome everyone interested on November 4. Over the span of the day gaming operators, renowned suppliers, as well as experts in the sports wagering field will have the chance to meet investors.

The summit is projected to be especially useful for potential investors to the likes of venture capitalists and institutional investors. Companies preparing for their Initial Public Offering are also welcome to learn more about the current state of the sports wagering field across the states. This includes both states that have already launched betting on sports events and those working towards the goal.

Operators and suppliers would also be able to offer useful insights into the way the field works. Expectations are that One Liberty Plaza in New York City would become a hotspot thanks to the summit. Until November 1, individuals interested in purchasing a ticket for attendance could do so at the cost of US$999. The same day is also going to see the Sportsbook Management Masterclass offering practical knowledge on land-based sportsbook operation.

November 5 and 6 are about to give green light to the Sports Betting USA Conference attracting some of the leading figures of the New York State Senate. Hosted by Metropolitan West, it would attract speakers to the likes of Joe Asher, CEO, William Hill US; Scott Butera, President Interactive Gaming, MGM Resorts International; Kenny Gersh, Executive Vice President, Gaming and New Business Ventures, Major League Baseball; and Christopher Halpin, Chief Strategy & Growth Officer, National Football League.

Senator Joseph Addabbo Jr. and Assemblyman J Gary Pretlow are supposed to share their useful insights into the local sports wagering scene, as well as the challenges it faces. Chief Executive Officers will have the opportunity to participate in a panel focusing on the progress made up until now. The summit is also projected to make a useful comparison between the states and their unique approach to wagering on sports events.

On the second day, attendants will also focus on tribal gaming in the context of sports wagering. November 6 would also see a panel about the blurred lines between sports betting companies and the media, a trend that was further solidified by FOX Bet, the platform taking over New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Tickets for the conference rate at US$999.
