Fresh BCLC iOS App Offers In-App Ticket Purchases Powered by mkodo

British Columbians are in for a treat, as it was recently announced that British Columbia Lottery Corporation has been working on the improvement of its official lottery app. In order to guarantee premium experience for everyone, the Crown corporation has once again collaborated with international gaming giant mkodo. The revamped BCLC mobile app would bring new functionalities and make the user experience better than ever before.

It comes as no surprise that many people have their phones in hands at all times whether they like it or not. Just too many things demand our attention on a regular basis and constant flow of information could captivate us for hours on end. Lottery corporations are aware of this trend and over the past few years, they have explored the field of mobile apps and all the possibilities they offer. British Columbia Lottery Corporation wants to step up its game with a new player.

mkodo Elevates User Experience

mkodo has been the long-anticipated breath of fresh air transforming the gaming field of British Columbia down the road. It was responsible for the original BCLC app and now it is time for an upgrade. The collaboration between the two gaming forces has made possible a milestone update for the BCLC mobile app.

It has already been released and all users have the opportunity to explore everything new. The new functionalities make interaction possibilities endless for players. From here on out, they would be able to deposit funds, withdraw funds giving them the online freedom they have always been looking for.

In addition to that, the updated app is going to allow them to purchase lottery tickets for national and regional games. This would make it much easier for anyone of legal age to purchase lottery tickets without leaving the comfort of their home. Up until now, lottery points-of-sale were the preferred way of ticket purchasing ahead of a regular weekly lottery draw.

Intuitive App Update Meets Expectations

Players had to make their way and even though the kiosks are placed in crowded areas with high traffic, many people were eager to see mobile purchases become a thing. Up until this point, the lottery app lacked a crucial feature many others had – the ticket scanner. This allows players to quickly scan their lottery tickets and see whether or not they are Canada’s next millionaire.

Following the latest update, this is possible and projections are that app downloads are going to skyrocket exactly because of this new functionality. For the time being, the BCLC app is available in the App Store, as it is a native iOS one that aligns well with the new rules. It could be recalled that Apple’s recent changes to its App Store directly affect gambling apps.

The technology giant launched a crackdown of sorts, eyeing HTML5 applications. In its essence, the change would no longer allow apps built using embedded HTML5 code. The updated app, however, is created in compliance with the new regulations. Users have requested the improvements for more than 12 months and many of them would experience them very soon.
