This week, the next-generation fantasy sports platform, GameOn, announced that it has inked a software development agreement with Sportsology. Via the collaboration, the two parties will team up for the creation of a fantasy sports infrastructure branded, $GAME. It will be designed to drive fan engagement and generate revenue for game developers and sports leagues around the globe.
GameOn is a partner to some of the leading sports, media, and entertainment IPs, providing brand-building, and money-making next-gen titles. Its platform is designed at scale with millions of users, gameplays, and revenue. Some of the company’s partners include NBCUniversal, Bravo, La Liga, PFL, Karate Combat, the WNBA, Times Internet, Gaming Society and more.
Teaming Up for an Innovative Project
GameOn revealed it entered a letter of intent to complete a software development and support arrangement with Sportsology, which is subject to final documentation. The deal would generate CA$2.3M from development fees into Q4, and CA$1.4M in annual recurring revenue from next year. The total projected value of the deal is CA$9.3M over five years.
Another fruit of the partnership would be the creation of $GAME which is aimed to drive fan engagement and revenue growth. It will bolster the player experience in sports-specific games such as fantasy games, predictor games, card battle games, and sports betting games, as well as provide rewards, true ownership of assets, and other benefits to sports fans and gamers.
Once operated by Sportsology, GameOn will try to utilize the infrastructure to provide unified experiences and rewards across its platform of game products, including LaLiga and PFL. Additionally, as the exclusive developer of the project, GameOn will acquire first-mover access to $GAME and its capabilities. More details on the platform will be announced in the future.
Just recently, the company announced its latest collaborations with La Liga and PFL and will also provide some more updates by the end of the current calendar year. Its management also plans to share new and detailed guidance on revenue projections next month via a webinar, which will provide some further details in the coming days.
Previous Highlights
In the past, GameOn made some serious strides toward expanding. One of those was a partnership with the Gaming Society announced in November 2021. Through this collaboration, the company was able to provide sports fans with the opportunity to place free-to-play wagers on women’s sports, including bets on leagues like the WNBA, NWSL, and even more.
However, that is not all the big news from the company in 2021, as a few months prior to the Gaming Society deal, the firm announced that it will be joining the Canadian Gaming Association. As a member of CGA, the company received many new benefits, including being able to establish many new connections with various entities from the Canadian gaming industry
