IGT Strikes iGaming Content Deal for Canada and U.S.

International Gaming Technology continues its expansion into the gambling industry, as most recently, the company has signed a multi-year content distribution deal with Yggdrasil Gaming. Via the collaboration, IGT will be able to access a selection of the leading provider’s iGaming titles and offer them to the online markets of Canada and the USA.

IGT is a leading gambling brand, and it provides entertaining but responsible gaming services and experience to players from all around the globe. The company operates in more than 100 countries and employs approximately 11,000 individuals. Now, the company wants to explore iGaming markets in USA and Canada where such services are legal.

Expansion of Offerings

Fredrik Elmqvist, CEO of Yggdrasil Gaming, said that the iGaming provider continues its growth strategy, and the Canadian and U.S. markets are key for sustainable long-term growth and shareholder value. Also, Mr. Elmqvist expressed his delight that the company is partnering up with IGT, as the company is a world leader in supplying gaming products.

The CEO continued by noting that via the collaboration deal, IGT will now have access to the provider’s wide range of gaming titles and will launch them exclusively in the said gaming regions. MR. Elmqvist believes that as the online market continues to grow in North America, the company will continue to support IGT’s PlayCasino in order to achieve its goals by granting them access to its award-winning games.

Enrico Drago, IGT CEO Digital & Betting, also commented on the recent partnership and praised Yggdrasil Gaming for its iGaming contributions to the industry. He also added that the provider will prove to be a focal point to the gaming leader’s PlayDigital’s growth strategy and add value to the company’s PlayCasino offering.

Mr. Drago has also praised the provider’s products, for their artistic talent, innovation, and commitment when it comes to delivering exceptional gaming products to the iGaming sector. The CEO is also quite confident that the supplier’s content will prove to be a big hit in IGT PlayCasino. The first content should be launched on the platform this December.

WCLC Agreement

IGT has already established some immaculate partnerships in Canada, as previously, the leader was awarded a contract extension by the Western Canadian Lottery Corporation. This deal will be the third contract for the gaming supplier in the last five years, and now the company will provide 700 CrystalDual® 27 video lottery terminals to the Crown agency.

Alberta’s Contract

The gaming brand was also granted a contract extension by the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission. Now its subsidiary, Canada Solutions ULC will provide an enhanced version of its INTELLIGEN™ systems software to the Canadian entity, and it also remains as its main provider of system software. Also, via the deal, the Crown agency gains access to the status of the whole VLT framework.
