Lotto MAX Main Prize Reaches CA$70m Cap this Month

Lottery products are once again increasingly popular among Canadians, as their Main prizes continue swelling for yet another week. Quebec players could testify that the past few weeks have been quite generous, evident by the most recent CA$9-million prize once again landing in the region of Montreal. Carole Champagne Gagne and Rene-Paul Gagne are Quebec’s newest lottery millionaires bagging CA$9,053,760 via a Lotto 6/49 ticket.

The past few weeks have been a rather special time of the year, as many Canadians have bagged their long-anticipated lottery prizes after the purchase of a winning ticket. Many of them strive to reach the grand prize for years, only to refuse to believe their eyes once they see the Congratulations message written on their screen.

Jackpots Galore

The couple hailing from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu was willing to give their luck a try and purchase a Lotto 6/49 ticket ahead of its regular draw. There are two opportunities of winning big per week and the two of them were eyeing February 8 as their special day. This was when Lady Fortuna was on their side and they managed to match the needed numbers for the jackpot.

Lotto 6/49 managed to bring a Main prize reaching CA$9,053,760 and the couple succeeded in highlighting the numbers needed for this prize in its entirety. Mrs. Gagne could not believe her eyes when she checked the ticket and she started crying tears of joy. Now that the two of them are multimillionaires, they are planning to retire sooner than projected and living their best life with their fortune.

The ticket itself was purchased at a local Depanneur L’Indispensable, which means that the location is now eligible for a one-percent payout of the prize. In this case, it would amount to some CA$90,537. This jackpot comes soon after another similar prize made its way to the South Shore of Montreal towards the end of January. Another CA$9-million jackpot made it there.

Lotto MAX Reaches Stellar Heights

It could be recalled that a group of six co-workers managed to become eligible for a cash payout thanks to a Lotto 6/49 ticket. The individuals had been working together for years, but their tradition of lottery ticket purchases continued even after their retirement. Their weekly meetings were lightened by the chances of winning a lotto jackpot and after years, their dreams did come true.

The Monteregie group included six individuals that have been working together for years. Every week Marcel Blain, Robert Girard, Roland Guimond, Denis Lecourtois, Lisette Matte, and Marcel Plante have a lunch meeting during which they talk and are updated on the latest news. Mr. Plante was the one who found out about the grand jackpot. In the meantime, Lotto MAX continues growing without a winner.

Valentine’s Day brought a Main prize reaching CA$55 million but there was not a single ticket able to match all the numbers needed for the grand prize. February 18 saw yet another jackpot, this time swelling to approximately CA$60 million, once again remaining untouched by the hands of potential winners. February 21 is about to see the next Lotto MAX draw bringing CA$65 million as a Main prize. Projections of increased ticket sales have been made.
