British Columbia Lottery Corporation announced the official appointment of a new Vice-President of People and Culture part of a program seeking new executives joining the structure of the Crown corporation. Yabome Gilpin-Jackson is going to be based in Kamloops, where the headquarters of the lottery leader is located. She is about to be effectively appointed on April 12 commencing her work in Vancouver with consequent relocation.
The Crown corporation is willing to look for the most confident and experienced individuals to be appointed to the executive positions. There are still options opened, as the British Columbia Lottery Corporation is seeking the most appropriate candidates. The new Vice-President of People and Culture is here to bring diversity not only to the corporation’s staff but also to its future endeavors.
New Vice-President of People and Culture
Mrs. Gilpin-Jackson is here to be the breath of fresh air the British Columbia Lottery Corporation has been needing, as she is the most appropriate candidate for this position. Her permanent workplace would be the headquarters building in Kamloops, but over her first months of operation, he would be based in Vancouver. This summer is expected to see her relocate to her new office.
The Crown corporation is recruiting individuals for many of the currently vacant executive positions in Kamloops and Vancouver. Some of those are for the role of Vice-President of Compliance, Legal Security and Chief Compliance Officer. The perfect individual with experience in this sphere would eventually present themselves to the leading gaming corporation. The recent addition is here to pave the way for a change in British Columbia.
Greg Moore, BCLC Interim President and Chief Executive Officer, expressed his contentment with the choice and welcomed Mrs. Gilpin-Jackson to the team. He pointed out that her experience in leadership and organization development are going to be essential for her future work and achievements. Her previous employment was at the Fraser Health Authority where she supported the operation in leading positions.
Summer Relocation to Kamloops
Mrs. Gilpin-Jackson has most recently been appointed Executive Director of the very same authority and she had the responsible task to guarantee strategic oversight when it comes to the future endeavors of the Fraser Health Authority. She was also taking care of the culture transformation, as well as the talent development down the road. Along with her extensive experience in a similar position, she has also received recognition for her work.
The future Vice-President of People and Culture is the recipient of the Harry Jerome Professional Excellence Award which complements her Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Systems. Over the past few months, British Columbia has been working on the completion of its executive team. January saw the official appointment of Alan Kerr to the position of Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance & Corporate Services.
Mid-January, the Crown corporation also confirmed it has found its Vice-President of Social Purpose and Stakeholder Engagement. Peter ter Weeme is already working at the Vancouver location and he would follow a similar model of relocation to Kamloops in the summer of 2020. Now the only position remaining open is the Vice-President of Compliance, Legal and Security and Chief Compliance Officer and upcoming weeks are expected to see a new appointment.
