Gaming Innovation Group Supports Goldenpark in Ontario

Most recently, Gaming Innovation Group announced that it has inked a collaboration to debut its industry-leading platform to Goldenpark for Ontario’s regulated iGaming sector. Via the latest partnership, the two parties will further build on their existing cooperation while also marking the first deal for the Spanish casino brand outside of the Iberian Peninsula.

Gaming Innovation Group or GiG is a prominent internet gambling firm that offers solutions, products and services to iGaming operators. Established in 2012 and operating out of Malta, its objective is to drive sustainable growth and profitability to its partners from the industry via product innovation, scalable technology and quality of its services.

Powering Its Ontario Launch

As a partner to GiG, Goldenpark will now explore bolstering its online footprint in Spain and its recently acquired license in Portugal. Meanwhile, with five GiG partners already up and running or in development in Ontario, the Spanish iGaming operator will try to utilize the provider’s experience and technology in the province, to expand and deliver its personalized user experience.

It should be noted that the prominent platform provider has great value in the strength of reaping relationships with its many partners. Thanks to its open, modified, and flexible technology and access to over 30 regulated jurisdictions and another eight in the development pipeline, the company is putting brand control in the hands of the operators for the first time.

Marcel Elfersy, CCO of GiG remarked Ontario’s internet market is a crucial one for the provider, and that as a valued partner the company is pleased to power Goldenpark for its North American debut. The CCO added that the latest deal is a testament to the firm’s strength and flexibility of its product and the relationship it has established with the operator to explore new opportunities.

José Giacomelli, Consejero Delegado of MGA Online Division commented the operator’s debut in Ontario is one of its biggest challenges in 2024. He added that the province’s market is one of immense potential and thanks to GiG’s technology the brand will be able to achieve its goals. The deal is not just a physical expansion, but also an evolution in how both companies envision the future.

Market Grows Larger

As mentioned, Ontario’s regulated sector for online gambling and sports betting is one of huge potential. For its first 12 months of operations delivered just over CA$1.48 billion to the province’s gross domestic product with CA$906 million going into labour income. These numbers put the province in the top five jurisdictions for online gaming in North America.

In the meantime, the province’s sector keeps getting larger as more operators and suppliers join. Recently, Playgon announced that it has been licensed to become a gaming-related supplier by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission. Now, the SaaS and live dealer technology company is able to offer its product to other provincially-regulated operators.
