Oneida Indian Nation Prepares Casino Resorts for Relaunch

Turning Stone Resort Casino might be among the first tribal casino locations to reopen for in-person gambling, as it was recently confirmed. Oneida Indian Nation made it clear that the tribal hotspot would aim to welcome back casino patrons on June 10. Along with it, Point Place Casino and Yellow Brick Road Casino are also going to welcome players.

The Native American tribe oversees three casino resorts that have witnessed extensive renovation and various enhancements over the past twelve months. Those three casino resorts in central New York are now ready to implement better safety measures and welcome individuals willing to wager in-person and enjoy the various gaming products available on their premises.

Three Tribal Venues

Projections are that mid-June, central New York residents would have the chance to explore the wide portfolio of entertainment possibilities available at the three tribal casino resorts. At the moment, Oneida Indian Nation is working on the reopening plan, including various safety measures and the fortifying of already implemented ones. The three tribal casino venues have been closed for business ever since March.

Over the past few weeks, the tribal nation has been working on the most appropriate set of measures that would protect both players and casino staff members once the government has given a green light to in-person casino gaming. This process includes an ongoing conversation with public health experts and local officials. Earlier this month, Gov. Andrew Cuomo made it clear that casino venues might be part of the last phase of business reopening.

This is because of their nature, the enclosed space, as well as the gatherings that naturally form around gaming tables and slot machines. However, this applies to the four commercial casinos and the various gambling halls across the state. Tribal casino venues have their unique gaming compacts inked with the government and they could autonomously decide when to relaunch business.

June 10 Sees Relaunch

Oneida Indian Nation provides steady employment for upwards of 4,760 individuals and they are expected to return to their respective positions in the foreseeable future. The tribal nation issued some information regarding the measures that would be implemented at the three tribal venues. Individuals within 120 miles would be welcomed at the casino hotspots, as their place of residence would be checked upon entering the venues.

All people on the premises of the casino floor must wear face masks or coverings, whereas the casino staff members would also have to wear protective gloves during work. Casino patrons entering the premises should expect to have their temperature checked with a digital thermometer and those feeling unwell should refrain from entering the casinos.

The casino resorts come with family-friendly offerings as well as the gambling ones. They come with premium restaurant areas and bars and some measures would be implemented to those areas as well. Tables are going to have six feet distance between them. It should also be taken into account that the buffets would remain closed for the first weeks of tribal casino operation.
